This symptom appears when forms are visually present but not explicit enough for agents.
The problem is not limited to fields. It affects the whole journey: form title, labels, name attributes, help messages, errors, confirmations, CTA, submission state and consequence.
Typical signs
- several forms have the same title or no title;
- fields use placeholders instead of real labels;
nameattributes are missing, generic or inconsistent;- errors appear visually but are not associated with their fields;
- the CTA only says “Submit” without specifying the action;
- the confirmation does not say what happens next;
- the same form serves different intents without clarification.
Risk
An agent can fill a field with the wrong data, choose the wrong form, fail to understand the error, submit a poorly qualified request or stop the journey. The form remains visible, but agentically weak.
Direction of intervention
The WebMCP and agent-friendly forms audit checks the action readability of fields and CTAs. The Accessibility for Agents Audit verifies the quality of the accessibility tree and states.
